This week’s incredible school production of Grimm Woods was a spectacular event. The weaving together of the much loved tales of: Rapunzel, Hansel & Gretel and Little Red Riding Hood with musical highlights ranging from Abba to Queen! I was, as ever, very proud of the talented pupils who delighted the audiences with their energy, enthusiasm and passion. A huge well done to all involved.

The Twitter feed has shared some of this week’s ICE, with: Year 12s at Manchester Airport, Y11 artists developing stencilling, U16 footballers in competitive action, the young cryptographers practising for the competition that gets underway next term, talented linguists engaged in their Mandarin studies, MathsWatch breaking the ‘300 hours’ mark in September and the amazing SHINE team leading the work of the school as part of World Mental Health Day.

On Thursday October 18th we will be hosting our Sixth Form College Open Evening. All are warmly welcome to come and see: what the College offers, how we have created a caring and aspirational community that believes in our aim of ‘Your College. Your Future.’, and how the commitment of all has led to record results in 2018. We sincerely hope that many people will be excited to discover the College as the next step in their journey of learning.
