career northWe are delighted to inform you Career North Ltd will be continuing to provide the independent Careers Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) in Ormskirk School. Your son/daughter will receive the highest quality, impartial, careers advice and guidance which will support them to make well informed decisions about their future.

All Careers Advisers working for Career North are highly experienced and professionally qualified in Careers Guidance. Career Conversations with pupils are impartial, confidential and pupils will receive a detailed action plan to support them with their career planning, please ask to see it!

We welcome the opportunity to meet with parents/carers and will be attending Parents Events throughout the year, additionally appointments can be arranged to see the Careers Adviser in school through Mrs Haigh, Careers Coordinator.

A new telephone helpline has recently been launched to help you to talk through your career options and give you the chance to speak to a trained adviser who will talk you through issues, offer confidential advice and provide you with practical help.

This service is available for you!

Epoc Careers organises focused careers events for students.

Places are available at our Careers Conferences:

  • Improve Your Chances of Becoming a Doctor
  • Improve Your Chances of Becoming a Lawyer

These one-day events are on Saturdays, from 10:00am to 4:30pm. They are suitable for students in years 11 and 12. Other students, staff and parents are welcome too. As well as helping students to achieve their goals, our conferences give them a clear view of the advantages and disadvantages of a particular career. Students find our conferences valuable and enjoyable.

We hold the events in London and Manchester, and people travel from all over the country to attend.
