Exam Invigilators (3 posts)

  • Required as soon as possible
  • Casual contracts with variable hours according to exam timetable
  • £9.14 per hour

Governors wish to appoint three Exam Invigilators to assist with the supervision of internal and public exams throughout the year. Exams normally take place in January, March, May and June and hours will vary according to need.

Experience is not required, as training will be provided, although applicants will be asked to declare if they have invigilated previously and whether they have any current maladministration/malpractice sanctions applied to them.

The successful candidates will work as part of a pool of invigilators. The invigilator is a key role in upholding the integrity of the examination process and should be a calm, confident, reassuring presence in the exam room with concern for pupil’s welfare, behaviour and health & safety.

Ideally, candidates should be available for invigilation duties every week day, particularly during May and June, which is the key public exam period.

Salary: Grade Foundation Living Wage which is £16,882 pro rata plus supplement, equivalent to £9.14 per hour.

Cover Supervisor

  • Required as soon as possible
  • Grade 6 (SCP 21 - 26), £20,541 - £23,866 pro rata
  • Permanent, part time (30 hours per week)
  • Term time only, plus five INSET days

 

The Governors wish to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor. The postholder will supervise lessons when a teacher is unavailable for short term absences. It is essential that the applicant has experience of working with pupils, strong classroom management and excellent communication skills. Applicants will have the ability to work well as part of a team but have the confidence and skill set to work independently as well. 

Required hours are: Mon, Wed, Thurs and Fri: 8.35am to 3.15pm and Tues: 8.45am to 3.45pm.

Casual Cover Supervisors

We also welcome applications for casual Cover Supervisors. Ideally, candidates should be available every week day during term time. You will be part of a pool of cover supervisors. Casual contracts are based on requirements.

Business Support Apprentice Level 3

We have a vacancy for a Level 3 apprenticeship working within our busy school office team, this opportunity is ideal for a young person looking to embark on a business administration career within an education setting. The successful candidate will also commit to attending training 1 day per week to attain the Business Administration qualification up to Level 3.

Cleaner

  • Permanent, part time contract
  • 15 hours per week, term time plus 4 weeks

The Governors wish to appoint a part time cleaner, who, under the direction of the Site Supervisor, will undertake the cleaning of designated areas within the school premises to ensure they are kept in a clean and hygienic condition, to the agreed quality standards.

Required hours of work are: 3.30pm to 6.30pm, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday during term time and 2.30pm – 5.30pm Tuesday. The contracts are for term time, plus four weeks during the school holidays, as directed by the Site Supervisor.

Welfare Assistant

  • Permanent, part time contract
  • 7.5 hours per week, term time only
  • Grade Foundation Living Wage £16,882 pro-rata

 

The Governors wish to appoint a part time welfare assistant, who, under the direction of the Senior Midday Supervisor, will secure the safety, welfare and good conduct of pupils during the lunch break period. The post holder will also undertake the cleaning of designated areas of the dining hall, to ensure they are kept in a clean and hygienic condition and to the agreed quality standards.

Required hours of work are: Monday, Wednesday - Friday: 1.15pm-2.45pm and Tuesday: 12.30pm-2.00pm. The post is term time only.
