Parents and pupils of Year 6,
Welcome to Ormskirk School. Thank you for your understanding, with regard to the transition of your son/daughter to our school. I know this is a very stressful time for parents, especially if it is your first child up to secondary school. As you know in the current climate we are unsure as to when schools will be back to normal and what the ‘new normal’ will look like. Please be assured that we are looking at solutions and if possible will be looking at options for some form of visit to us before starting in September. Usually at this time I would have been visiting all of our feeder Schools to speak to the students about any worries or questions they might have about joining secondary school and we would have had our parents information evening, which I know allays many fears that parents have. Obviously that isn’t happening so we will be putting together lots of information with regards to transition in the upcoming weeks and we will keep updating it on a regular basis. I offer you my reassurance that the year 6 students transition to Ormskirk School will be done safely & securely.
I hope to see and meet you all very soon.
