Year 6 to 7 Transition
Welcome to Ormskirk School. The transition from primary to secondary school is a new and exciting experience which can sometimes be a little worrying for children and their families. Our aim is to make this transition a smooth and supportive one, ensuring that our new students feel ‘proud to belong’ to Ormskirk School.
We have a number of ways in which we support this transition:
- Meet the Headteacher evening - 6th March and 11th March 2025.
- School Visits - Throughout the year
- Transition Days - 3rd and 4th July 2025
- SEND support
- Summer School- 18th-19th August 2025
- Welcome to Key Stage 3 Evening - September 2025
Our Summer School will run on Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th August. This is a great opportunity for students to make new friends, meet our staff and have fun together before the school year begins.
