Apprenticeship Opportunities
Apprenticeships are an excellent pathway for young people who want to combine practical training in a job with study. Depending on the level of apprenticeship that you choose, they can take 1 to 5 years to complete. As an apprentice you’ll be an employee earning a wage and getting holiday pay. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced staff and gain job-specific skills. As part of your apprenticeship you will also get time for training and study related to your role.
You can start an apprenticeship if you are16 or over, living in England and not in full-time education.
Apprenticeships are available in many different industries from business management to law to agriculture, animals and horticulture. Use this industry guide on the UCAS website to find out more: https://www.ucas.com/explore/industry-guides
You can apply for an apprenticeship while you’re still at school but you’ll need to be 16 or over by the end of the summer holidays to start the apprenticeship.
