We wish to appoint a talented, outstanding and ambitious Art specialist to join our successful department teaching across main school and sixth form. The department has two general teaching studios, one 3D studio, Sixth form studio and dark room. All studios are equipped with digital projector and desk top computers. Art lessons are taught by subject specialists. The department has an excellent team ethos where all staff contribute to all aspects of the department. Their collective talent and commitment leads to very good teaching and strong levels of achievement which help to provide an inspiring ethos for Arts’ education at Ormskirk School.

We wish to appoint a talented, dedicated and enthusiastic part-time teacher of Science, with a particular focus on either Physics or Chemistry. The post is part-time of approximately 0.5, to commence from 1 September2019 on a temporary fixed term contract ending 31st August 2020.

Business Support Officer

  • Required from June 2019
  • Temporary fixed term, part time contract
  • Grade 3, SCP 2 - 4 (£17,711 - £18,426) pro rata
  • Term time only plus one week
  • Working hours: 37 hours per week, Mon-Fri 8.00am - 4.00pm

This post requires some flexibility in working hours when occasional school events may be scheduled to take place after 4pm.

Please note this is a fixed term contract covering staff absence, end date: 31st January 2020 or sooner on return of the post-holder.


To provide routine clerical, administrative, word processing and financial support to the school office, under the direction and instruction of the School Office Manager and Assistant Headteacher, Behaviour Lead.  The majority of the role will focus administration directly linked with the school’s behaviour and rewards systems and processes. This post is part of a staff team working together to create an effective learning environment across school, maximising learning and development opportunities for all pupils.
