Pupil Premium

The Pupil Premium was introduced in April 2011 and is allocated to schools to support the education of students who have been registered for Free School Meals at any point over a six year period.

The funding is aimed at raising the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and to close the gap between them and their peers. The funding is calculated on the number of students who have been registered as eligible for free school meals at any point in a six year period (Ever 6) and any student who has been in care for six months or longer.

Funding is given to school in April and is indicative due to possible changes in number of students eligible.
